What is it?

A Record of Employment (ROE) is an official document that summarizes your employment history with us. It is generated when you complete your assignment with Procom, when there is an interruption in earnings, or when requested by the government. This form is important because it provides the Government of Canada with details about your employment, including:

• Start and end dates of your assignment
• Total insurable earnings
• Reason for leaving

The government uses this information to determine:

• Whether you are eligible for Employment Insurance (EI) benefits
• How much you may receive
• How long your benefits will last

ROEs can also be used for other purposes, such as immigration applications or when applying for certain government programs.

Who receives an ROE?

ROEs are only issued to:

• T4 employees
• Sole proprietors with EI/CPP deductions

If you fall into one of these categories, Procom will complete the ROE and submit it electronically to the government.
