To ensure you have the most accurate and current information, please refer to your Consulting Agreement, specifically under the 'Supplier Obligations' section > 'Liability Insurance'. These requirements apply to all independent contractors, whether you operate as an Incorporated entity or a Sole Proprietor. It is your responsibility to secure your own insurance, and you are free to choose any provider, as long as the policy meets the standards outlined in your Consulting Agreement.
Mandatory Insurance Coverage
Insurance coverage is mandatory for all of our independent contractors, and it is critical that your business maintains the appropriate coverage to meet the requirements set forth by Procom. You can find the detailed insurance coverage requirements in your contract to ensure full compliance.
Insurance Providers
If you're looking for insurance options, here are some providers that offer a range of coverage plans at competitive rates.
PROLINK offers an insurance program through the Association of Canadian Search, Employment & Staffing Services (ACSESS), of which Procom is a member. This program includes coverage options such as $2M and $5M with competitive rates for contractors working with Procom.
EasyCover, which is part of Rogers Insurance, is another available option. They provide liability insurance with coverage limits of $1M, $2M, and $5M, with competitive rates for contractors working with Procom.
These providers have options backed by well-known insurance companies, and you can easily get quotes or buy a policy online. Procom doesn't endorse or recommend any specific insurance provider, so you should independently assess the suitability of any provider's offerings.
