As a temporary employee with Procom, you may be eligible to claim home office expenses on your tax return. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Québec provide guidelines for employees required to work from home due to employer requirements.
Home Office Expense Claims
The Temporary Flat Rate Method, which applied to employees working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic (2020-2022), is no longer available. If you worked from home last tax year, you may be able to claim home office expenses using the Detailed Method.
To do so, you must obtain a signed T2200 (Declaration of Conditions of Employment) from Procom. If you worked in Québec, you will also need a signed TP64.3-V (General Employment Conditions) form.
Employer Forms & Eligibility
To request a T2200 or TP64.3-V form, employees must meet the following conditions:
- You had a verbal or written agreement with the client to work from home for at least four consecutive weeks during the period that the form pertains to. This could have been either voluntary on your part or mandated by the client.
- You worked from home for at least 50% of the time during the period that the form pertains to.
- You incurred home office expenses that were not fully reimbursed by Procom.
- You meet the CRA or Revenu Québec eligibility requirements for claiming these expenses.
If you believe you qualify, you can request a T2200 or TP64.3-V form from Procom by clicking the button below to submit your request.
Completing Your Request
Since Procom does not directly track employees' individual work-from-home expenses, we require workers requesting a T2200 or TP64.3-V form to fill out the applicable form to the best of their ability before submitting it for employer review.

- Procom does not determine what expenses are claimable—please consult a tax professional for guidance.
-
!! Do not complete the personal information section (name, address, SIN) !!
- To protect your confidentiality over email, wait until we return the signed form before adding your personal details.
-
Submit the partially completed form to Procom.
- Once reviewed, we will complete the employer sections and return the signed form to you.
Add your personal details and submit it with your tax return.
Consult a Tax Professional
The CRA and Revenu Québec have specific rules about which expenses can be claimed, how to calculate eligible amounts, and how to report them on your tax return. Because tax situations vary, we strongly recommend consulting a tax professional or referring to the CRA and Revenu Québec websites for guidance on what expenses may be eligible in your specific case.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are home office expenses, and can I claim them?
Home office expenses are costs related to using a workspace in your home for employment purposes, such as rent, utilities, or office supplies. Whether you can claim them depends on the CRA’s or Revenu Québec’s eligibility criteria and your specific work arrangement. We strongly recommend consulting a tax professional to determine your eligibility.
Can I still use the Temporary Flat Rate Method?
No, the Temporary Flat Rate Method, which was introduced for employees working from home due to COVID-19, is no longer available for 2023 and beyond. You must now use the Detailed Method if you wish to claim home office expenses.
Does Procom automatically issue T2200 or TP64.3-V forms to employees?
No, these forms are only provided upon request. If you believe you are eligible to claim home office expenses, you must request the form and complete the applicable sections before submitting it to Procom for employer verification.
Can I claim home office expenses if Procom reimbursed some of my costs?
You can only claim expenses that were not reimbursed by Procom. If you received a reimbursement for any work-from-home costs, you cannot claim those specific amounts on your tax return.
When should I submit my T2200 or TP64.3-V request to Procom?
We recommend submitting your request well in advance of the tax filing deadline to ensure you receive the completed form in time. Processing times may vary depending on request volume.
Does this apply to independent contractors?
No. These forms and tax claims apply only to employees. If you are an independent contractor, you may have different tax reporting requirements and should speak with a tax professional for guidance.
